Description Premium Tapered Doug Fir Shafts made and harvested in southern Oregon by Wapiti Archery POC from premium old growth logs. We take our premium parallel shafts and put a 9″ taper on the nock end. Our shafts will have at least one grain that runs end to end, spined within 5 pounds, and grain weighed within 10 grains. Tapering the shaft allows the arrow to recover quickly and moves the center of gravity forward yielding better flight characteristic.
