Rarely found. Aventurine is not actually a mineral, but rather an aggregate composed of quartz grains and mica scales. Largest deposits: India, Egypt, Russia- Urals (in mica schists), Siberia, Altai Mountains, Brazil, Chile, Spain, Austria. In Poland – found sporadically in the Kaczawa alluvium and in the Jizera Mountains. IMPORTANCE: The texture pattern of the stones may differ minimally from that in the photograph.
