Aventurine(aventurine quartz; aventurine) – Belongs to the silicate cluster; a variety of quartz. Rarely found. Aventurine is not actually a mineral, but rather an aggregate composed of quartz grains and mica scales. Largest deposits: India, Egypt, Russia- Urals (in mica schists), Siberia, Altai Mountains, Brazil, Chile, Spain, Austria.
