This is the fully-customizable short-sleeve third kit for Spain’s 1996 Euros and 1998 World Cup qualifying campaigns. This shirt is typical of the ’95 era as there were multiple kits with the three stripes coming down on each side, just like this one. A very talented Spanish team wore it both in the 1996 Euros as well as the 1998 World Cup qualification campaign. Spain performed very well in the 1996 Euro, as they were thrown into a group of death. Along with France, they had to face Eastern European superpowers of Romania and Bulgaria, both performing extremely well in the 1994 World Cup. But the Spanish didn’t flinch. They managed two draws against Bulgaria and France in their first two matches and won their third dramatically against Romania. A Guillermo Amor strike in the 84th minute was enough to bring a 2-1 win, and qualify La Roja for the quarters. In the quarters, they were much less lucky, as they had to face hosts England. In a dispassionate match which finished 0-0, they eventually lost on penalties, which was a shame. The team then went on to perform extremely well in the 1998 World Cup qualifications, as they won their group with 8 wins and 2 draws, making them advance easily.
