Permasoft pads are remarkably soft pads. This style is designed to work with our Buggy Harness or the Pleasure Harness. Both of these harnesses have a narrower, shorter saddle than the ComfyFit saddle. Hence these pads are smaller in width but they are also a bit thicker since these style saddles have less padding sewn to them than the ComfyFit saddles do. **These pads will NOT fit the ComfyFit saddles. THESE PADS ARE NOT NEOPRENE. Therefore they will not trap heat against the animal. The carefree material is a padded foam type of material that is super easy to clean and doesn’t trap bacteria. Countryside Permasoft pads have an easy to clean marine grade vinyl top with a black, soft synthetic (carefree) waffle bottom – the same carefree material we use for linings on the comfy fit harness. The carefree waffle layer allows for airflow between the pad and the animal. Permasoft Gig Saddle pads are filled with 3/4″ closed cell foam. Leroy Mullet, the founder and owner of “Countryside”, says he has used these pads on his own harness for 5 years and they are just as soft an resilient as when he made them and put them on. None of the components are absorbent – no mold, mildew or other general “muck” will form on these pads. No rotting threads. Easy to clean – wash ’em up, spray with the hose, slosh in a bucket…..
