This Bowman Arch Mouth – Baucher Cheek Bit is a Chimacum Tack Favorite Single Driving Bit. Comes standard in stainless steel with copper inlay. Specifically designed for Mini’s and Ponies, but works for any size equine. The arch mouth is a great choice of bit when your equine is searching for some tongue relief. The gently curved mouthpiece fits in the smallest miniature horse’s mouth and still works off of bar pressure instead of tongue pressure. This bit will give a little bit of leverage because of the Baucher cheek, but doesn’t have the lower loops that a Butterfly bit does, which makes this bit perfect for single driving. There are no loops to get caught on the shaft ends! This bit is comfortable bit for the horse that doesn’t like tongue pressure. Standard sizes are: Mini: 3 /12″, 3 3/4″, 4″ and 4.25″ (the diameter of these mouthpieces will be 3/8″) You can special order the custom sizes below or the brass or sweet iron alloys for a 30% up charge with a 12 week wait by emailing me at [email protected]. Custom Sizes: Pony: 4 1/2″, 4 3/4″ (the diameter of these mouthpieces will be 7/16″) Horse: 5″, 5 1/4″ (the diameter of these mouthpieces will be 1/2″) Draft: 5 1/2″, 6″ (the diameter of these mouthpieces will be 9/16″) Bowman bits will now have a flat rate shipping charge of $15 per bit, when purchased one at a time. These will be shipped by Fed Ex Express, 2 day mail. This shipping charge reflects that shipping upgrade. Thank you so much for understanding!
