Description Coovar Shellac Primer is a premium, fast-drying shellac-based primer designed to provide exceptional stain blocking, adhesion, and sealing performance across a wide range of interior surfaces. Formulated for professional decorators and demanding refurbishment projects, it is particularly effective where persistent stains, odours, or difficult substrates must be sealed prior to topcoating. This high-solids primer delivers outstanding adhesion to glossy, dense, and previously coated surfaces without the need for extensive sanding, making it ideal for both renovation and maintenance work. Drying & Recoating Times Touch dry: Approximately 15–20 minutes Recoat time: 45–60 minutes Fully cured: Typically within 24 hours Fast drying times allow for rapid project turnaround and minimal downtime. Application Apply by brush or short-pile roller Stir thoroughly before use Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from grease, dust, and loose material For heavily stained areas, a second coat may be applied Due to its shellac formulation, tools should be cleaned immediately after use using appropriate cleaning agents.
