Description Fleetwood Melamine Primer is a high-performance adhesion primer specifically formulated for difficult, low-porosity interior surfaces such as melamine and kitchen cabinetry. Designed to promote strong paint adhesion where conventional primers often fail, it provides a durable and reliable base for subsequent topcoats, ensuring a long-lasting, professional finish. This specialist primer is ideal for refurbishment projects where existing surfaces are smooth, factory-finished, or previously coated. It creates a firm bonding layer that allows decorative finishes to level evenly while reducing the risk of peeling or flaking over time. Key Features & Benefits Excellent adhesion to melamine, laminates, and other difficult interior surfaces Water-based formulation for low odour and easy clean-up White satin finish provides an even, opaque base for topcoats Quick drying to allow efficient project turnaround Designed for interior use, particularly kitchens and fitted furniture Suitable Surfaces Melamine-faced boards Kitchen cabinets and doors Lacquered or factory-finished MDF Smooth, previously painted interior furniture Surface Preparation Correct preparation is essential to achieve optimal performance: Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from grease, wax, or contaminants.
